Ajay Rajadhyaksha

Managing Director and Head of Macro Research

Barclays

Ajay Rajadhyaksha is a Managing Director and Head of Macro Research at Barclays, based in New

York. He assumed his current role in July 2015 and now oversees the global research and strategy

efforts of the asset allocation, economics, rates, FX, commodities, emerging markets, and

securitized teams. Previously, he was Co-Head of FICC Research and before that, Head of US Fixed

Income Research and US and European Securitized Research. Mr. Rajadhyaksha joined Barclays in

2005 as a Senior Mortgage Strategist. Previously, he worked at Bear Stearns from 2001-2005,

where he worked in Portfolio Strategy and then led the Interest Rate Derivatives Strategy team.

Mr. Rajadhyaksha typically faces off against global CIOs and senior PMs at investment firms, and

is a frequent presenter at both Barclays-sponsored and industry conferences. Since august 2014,

he has been a member of the Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee, and meets several times a

year with the Chairperson of the Federal Reserve as well as the US Treasury Secretary as a formal

adviser on macroeconomic and market issues. Mr. Rajadhyaksha received a bachelor’s degree in

Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai in 1997, an MBA from the Indian Institute

of Management Calcutta in 1999 and a master’s degree in International Management from

Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management in Arizona in 2001.

Laura Matthews is a New York-based reporter for FX Markets.

She previously worked for Euromoney Institutional Investor, the International Business TimesGannett’s Pacific Daily News, and other publications in Jamaica and The Bahamas.

Laura has a MS from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, and a BA in media and communication from the Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication at the University of the West Indies, Mona.

Ashish Bhagwanjee

Ashish Bhagwanjee is a Senior Portfolio Manager and Vice President at Dimensional. Ashish is responsible globally for foreign exchange, overseeing daily FX processes, evaluating TCA, counterparty management, and reporting. In addition, he leads a team of investment professionals that manage global allocation, target date, and tax managed portfolios. Ashish has run international and emerging markets portfolios. Ashish also overseas cash and derivatives processes.

Beata Harasim

Senior investment strategist

Beata Harasim is a senior investment strategist at BlackRock and a member of the BlackRock Investment Institute. She is responsible for developing tactical asset allocation frameworks and contributing to related thought leadership. Before starting her current role, Harasim worked at BlackRock for nine years, most recently as a global macro portfolio manager in the diversified strategies team, running a discretionary fundamental investment process with a primary focus on currencies and fixed income. Prior to that, she worked as a portfolio manager in BlackRock's global and European fixed income teams. Harasim is a Chartered Financial Analyst Institute and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association charterholder. She holds a masters degree in finance and banking from the Warsaw School of Economics and completed a post graduate course in big data and advanced analytics in 2016.

Lukas Becker is the derivatives desk editor for Risk.net. His topics of interest include over-the-counter derivatives pricing, collateral management, market infrastructure and legal risk. He is based in London.

He was previously the Europe, Middle East and Africa editor of Risk magazine.

Cameron Crosby

Mr. Crosby joined Guggenheim Partners in June 2015, where he runs the FX and Derivatives Sector Team.  He and his team are responsible for all FX related funding and hedging portfolio management and trading across the organization.  Additionally, he manages an alternative cash management strategy and is the Portfolio Manager for FX and Rate Volatility relative value mandates.  Prior to joining Guggenheim, he worked as an FX G10 STIR trader at Wells Fargo Bank and as a fixed income trader at Wells Fargo Advisors. Mr. Crosby graduated from College of Charleston with a B.S. in Business Administration and a Minor in Economics and additionally has his CFA Charter.

David Page

Head of macroeconomic research

David Page is head of macroeconomic research at AXA Investment Managers. He manages a global team of 10 economists and strategists, is a regular guest on Bloomberg TV and other global media. Page joined AXA Investment Managers in July 2014 as a senior economist to provide economics coverage on US and UK economies. He has written extensively on the US economy, covering elections, fundamental monetary policy debates and issues of fiscal stimulus. Before joining AXA Investment Managers, Page worked for four years at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking as a senior economist, primarily covering the UK economy. During this time, he was twice voted the top forecaster in the region in 2011 and 2012 (and came third in 2013). Prior to this, Page worked for 10 years at Investec Bank as a global economist, primarily covering the UK and European economies. Before this, he spent five years in the Government Economic Service, initially working for the energy regulator before joining the UK Debt Management Office – an executive agency of HM Treasury – at its inception in 1998, considering issues of primary issuance for the UK gilt market. Page holds a masters of science degree in economics from the University of Warwick, UK and a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of York.

 

James Binny

Head of investments for SSGA Europe Limited and global head of currency

James is Head of Investments for SSGA Europe Limited and Global Head of Currency. He joined the company in January 2016 as Head of Currency for EMEA. Since January 2019 he has expanded his role to include Head of Investments for Ireland, providing leadership and governance to SSGA investment management activity in Ireland and other EU jurisdictions. As Global Head of Currency he continues to provide strategic leadership to the Currency team from a business, investment and research perspective and is ultimately responsible for all currency strategies.

James has worked in the industry since 1990, predominantly in the management of global fixed income and currency, with a focus on the development and implementation of investment and risk processes. He has worked on or led teams at investment firms including Brevan Howard, Gartmore and County NatWest Investment Management. He advised investment managers and asset owners regarding the development of investment and risk management processes while at ABN AMRO and Lloyds Banks. He also created and implemented a manager of managers product at ABN AMRO and while at Lloyds Bank he was trustee of both a DB and DC pension plan.

James graduated with a first in Engineering Science from Oxford University.

Joseph Hoffman

Joseph Hoffman, CFA, is Chief Executive Officer in Mesirow Currency Management. Joseph leads the team to match investment trends with customized solutions to meet clients’ needs. Under Joseph’s leadership, assets under management have grown from $77 billion in August 2017 to $122.4 billion in December 2021. He led the acquisition of The Cambridge Strategy, a UK-based currency alpha investment firm in October 2018, and developed Fiduciary FX, an agency and fiduciary program for trading currencies for institutional investors.

Prior to joining Mesirow, Joseph worked at Russell Investments where he spent 20 years focused on currency and derivatives. He co-founded Russell Investment’s Currency Implementation business and managed over $60 billion in currency assets. 

Joe earned a Bachelor of Science from Central Washington University and a Master of Science in finance from Seattle University. He holds the FINRA Series 3, 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses, and is a member of the CFA  Society of Chicago.

Andriy Bukatar

Head of algorithmic trading development - Equities and FX

Andriy is a Head of Algo Development for Equities and FX at Precision Algos, Cantor Fitzgerald where he primarily focuses on the software development effort for the Equities and FX products. He also contributes extensively to Precision’s cross-assets algorithmic offering.

Andriy joined the Precision team from FXall/Thomson Reuters where he ran the FX SOR and algorithmic trading engine development. Prior to FxAll/Thomson Reuters, Andriy held a position of VP, Equities/Derivatives DMA & Quantitative Technologies at Jefferies. He has extensive experience in building algorithmic systems for trading Equities and FX.

Andriy graduated with a B.S. in Physics from the State University of Ukraine, Chernivtsi in 1996.
